This weekend, on the 18h of March, we’re going to visit Beylerbeyi Palace and Kanlica neighbourhoods centered around a small port on the Asian side as the continuation of our Saturday Istanbul Trips!
We’re going to start off by making a visit to Beylerbeyi Palace which was the official summer residence of the Ottoman sultans. We’re going to see its adornments that are largely European, with Bohemian crystal chandeliers, intricately designed furniture, French clocks, and vases that were imported from China, Japan, and France and all over Turkey.
At the end of our tour, we will stop by Kanlica which is one of the first places that comes to mind when thinking about old Istanbul. It is famous with its yogurt so we will try it at one of the restaurants in the area.
