The French have unique wines, the Russian have their strong vodkas, the German have their delicious beers and the Turks have their weird “rakı”s. Before the finals, let’s treat ourselves in Turkish style and visit a meyhane. A meyhane is more than a mere type of restaurant to eat and drink but a whole experience which involves a lot of conversation and where hearts are poured out as one glass of rakı flows after the other, not to mention a table full of yummy meze varieties.
